Deaf & Hearing Impairment Assessment

We undertake assessments for deaf and hearing impaired clients in the work place or educational settings.

These assessments can suggest:

• Adapting task recognition i.e. flashing lights or vibrating pagers for door bells, phones and fire alarms
• Hearing aids and radio transmission aids to improve and amplify hearing
• Text phones
• Speech synthesisers allowing a deaf person to type and have information spoken verbally
• Communication support workers.
• Communication strategies

Following assessment, a report is produced with suggestions to enable the client to work on a par with their non hearing impaired colleagues.
